Where do metabolic disorders come from?

Metabolic disorders, in the broader sense, are among the main causes of the classic diseases of civilization, which have taken on almost epidemic proportions in the industrialized societies of recent decades. The "German Society for Nutrition and Sport" established through metabolic measurements at over 400 locations in Germany that most people lack the basis for an effective metabolism - in plain language, sufficient energy.

If the energy store is empty, all recommended measures to optimize the metabolism come to nothing. Who wants to do sport and consume additional energy (ATP = adenosine triphosphate) if they already have too little energy? Being slim and having a high level of vitality therefore does not mean "discipline and doing without", but rather how metabolically selected foods and an increase in cellular oxygen supply can positively and permanently change the metabolism, because vitality begins in a healthy cell.

What happens in our cells?

Most people have an inefficient (poor) metabolism because:

The oxygen supply to the cells and therefore also to the mitochondria (cellular power plants) is too low to enable fat burning (β-oxidation) at all. The influx of sugar (glucose) to and into the cells is so high that the primary metabolic pathway - sugar combustion (α-oxidation) - is activated. This always takes place according to the principle of least resistance, as significantly less oxygen has to be used to burn sugar.

The acid load (acid load on the cells and the cell membrane) on the cells, especially in the space between the cells (interstitium), reaches values that affect the permeability (permability) to such an extent that the supply of the cells with oxygen, among other things, is limited or does not function at all.

The combination: "too high acid load and too low oxygen utilization and too high glucose supply" make an efficient metabolism impossible.
